PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for displaying physical quantities which digitally displays the physical quantities in an easily readable and congruous way. SOLUTION: The physical quantity display apparatus comprises both a display means 8 for digitally displaying a first physical quantity and a second physical quantity, and a control means 9 for displaying the first physical quantity and the second physical quantity on the display means 8 by selectively switching between them. The control means 9 displays the first physical quantity on the display means 8 at a first display update period, and also displays the second physical quantity on the display means 8 at a second display update period different from the first display update period. The control means 9 comprises an operating part 22 for selecting the first physical quantity, or the second physical quantity to be displayed on the display means 8.
