PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a small-sized camera while increasing the degree of freedom of component arrangement in a camera body. SOLUTION: This camera has: a cartridge chamber in which a film cartridge containing a film is loaded; a lid member which covers a loading opening of the cartridge chamber, a lock mechanism which can engage and disengage with the lid member and also locks the lid member in a closed state; and an operation member which is slid by a user to operate the lock mechanism and thus unlock the lid member, and pushes out the film cartridge loaded in the cartridge chamber.
