This invention relates to a substance dispensing device (1) associated with a usage indicator (2). The device includes a substance storage container (3) a nd a pump (4) operable to dispense substance from the container (3). The usage indicator includes a movable member (16) that is movable in response to operation of the pump (4). The movable member includes an indication means (29) providing an visual indication of the extent to which substance has bee n dispensed from the device.
