<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system which is capable of normally displaying optional images corresponding to the performance of a recipient's communication terminal when data including picture images are received or transmitted through a communication terminal, such as a mobile phone or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The image characteristics of an image are converted corresponding to the performance of a recipient's communication terminal 1110, so that an optional image can be normally displayed corresponding to the performance of the recipient's communication terminal.
