PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide printing images of a high image quality by simply informing a replacement timing of a printing cartridge without making a user carry out excessive operations and judgment. SOLUTION: The detachable printing cartridge consists of a printing cartridge body and a replaceable ink tank. An ink discharging part exhaustion degree is calculated from measured information related to the ink discharge with timing of an ink tank replacement, and the replacement timing of the printing cartridge is informed.
