PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which sends a notice about the communication utilizing condition to a user even during talking, without disturbing the talking. SOLUTION: A traffic volume integrator 10 measures the actual call volume in telephone services to sum up the call volume of a user. A memory 20 has a stored goal upper limit of the call volume. A controller 19 calculates the call volume available at present from an integrated value obtained by the traffic volume integrator 10 and the upper limit stored in the memory 20. When the calculation result reaches a specified remaining volume and meets specified conditions, a vibrator 23 sends a notice of this fact to the user of the portable terminal by its mechanical vibration. Thus, the user can know that the available call volume reaches a specified remaining volume even during talking, without disturbing the talking. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
