PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact torque limiter capable of facilitating manufacture and obtaining stable performance. SOLUTION: An external member 2 is relatively rotatably fit on an internal member 1 in the torque limiter, and an elastic member 3 is mounted on an external diameter surface of the internal member 1 so as to come into contact with each other by designated pressure. Further, the elastic member 3 and the internal member 1 being brought into press contact with the elastic member 3 are prevented from rotating together so that a slit 11 of the elastic member 3 is engaged with a hook 8 of the external member 2, and the torque limiter generates settled torque prepared by friction on a press contact. A plurality of C-shaped springs 10 bending a bar material as the elastic member 3 are used in the torque limiter. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
