PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device of a diesel engine for obtaining the large removing effect of a toxic particulate such as a black smoke grain, using a collecting medium such as black smoke as engine fuel, and dispensing with replacing work of the medium by accumulation of the black smoke by burning the collected black smoke together with fuel. SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device is composed of a substantially cylindrical vortex flow pipe 1 connected into an exhaust passage 3 of the diesel engine 2, arranging an inflow port 1a of exhaust gas in one end side part, opening on the other end side from this inflow port, and arranging an exhaust part 5 for exhausting gas in a pipe to an external part and the fuel 17 stored by a prescribed quantity in this vortex flow pipe, and generates a spiral flow in the vortex flow pipe by the exhaust gas flowing in from the inflow port.
