PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planet selvage-forming device (mock selvage-forming device) in a loom, capable of preventing the occurrence of selvage warp yarn cutting or insufficient opening by preventing a yarn-supplying bobbin from the attachment of flying cotton blown by a selvage gear. SOLUTION: This planet selvage-forming device (1) forming a mock selvage texture (9) is provided by covering a gear row part (25) with a gear cover (26), also covering the surroundings of the outside of the rotating part (27) of the yarn-supplying bobbin with a yarn-supplying bobbin cover (32) and further arranging a blocking member (28) presenting as extended in radius direction of the selvage gear (3) from the inner circumferential surface of the gear cover (26) between the gear cover (26) and the yarn-supplying bobbin cover (32) in the vicinity of the selvage gear (3) to separate the inside space of the gear cover (26) and the inside space of the yarn-supplying bobbin cover (32).
