The window panel construction (10) for a motor vehicle (11) has a connecting component (12) for the fitting of the window panel on the window frame, and an adhesion coating provided on the inner face of the window panel to fix the connecting component. The connecting component has a base embedded in the adhesion coating, and a pair of elastically deformable support arms (21) which extend away from the base for support of the window panel. A fastening section (23) is installed on the far end of each support arm and each have a fastening hole. The fastening hole in each fastening section serves for the fastening on a window frame or in the region of it to ensure that each support arm experiences an elastic deformation during the movement of the window panel between the open and closed positions.
