Particle detector and counting device comprising a plurality of particle detectors

The detector has a comparator (3) to compare an electrical pulse received from a processing circuit with a voltage threshold and deliver a digital electrical pulse. Digital pulses of respective particle detectors are applied to inputs of an OR gate (7). An interrupter is coupled in series with the additional input. The output of the OR gate is applied to a counter (4) and to an OR gate of another counter of a third detector. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a particle counting device (b) a method for reading detected particles (c) a method for counting detected particles.
