PURPOSE: An LCD panel which prevents damage of an opening portion is provided to form a sink portion between a gate line and a pixel electrode near to a data line, in order to reduce a possibility of ball-type spacers moving toward an opening portion of a pixel electrode upper part, thereby preventing light leakage. CONSTITUTION: A gate insulating layer(34) is formed on a gate line(32) of a substrate(1). A protective layer(46) is formed on the gate insulating layer(34). A pixel electrode(50) which is electrically connected to a TFT is formed on the protective layer(46). A sink portion(46a) of the protective layer(46) is located between the gate line(32) and the pixel electrode(50). Spacers are distributed in the sink portion(46a) since the sink portion(46a) is thinner than the protective layer(46).
