PURPOSE: An active matrix organic electroluminescence display is provided to obtain a uniform brightness by permitting pixels to have uniform and low resistances. CONSTITUTION: An active matrix organic electroluminescence display comprises a first substrate and a second substrate opposed each other; a gate wiring(112) and a data wiring(132) arranged on the inner surface of the first substrate, and which define pixel areas by being crossed with each other; a switching thin film transistor(TS1) connected to the gate wiring and the data wiring; a driving thin film transistor(TD1) connected to the switching thin film transistor; a first common wiring(117) arranged in the direction parallel to the gate wiring, and connected to the driving thin film transistor; a first capacitor electrode(118) connected to the first common wiring; a second capacitor electrode(137) connected to the switching thin film transistor and superimposed with the first capacitor electrode; a contact electrode(162) connected to the driving thin film transistor; second common wirings(164,166,168) connected to the first common wiring; a first electrode arranged on the inner surface of the second substrate; a barrier rib formed on the first electrode, and which defines the pixel areas; an organic light emitting layer formed on the first electrode; and a second electrode formed on the organic light emitting layer and connected to the contact electrode.
