PURPOSE: A method for mapping and tuning of digital broadcasting channels is provided to carry out the tuning and re-mapping of by pressing number keys or broadcasting station shortcut keys by mapping the number keys and the shortcut keys in advance for desired broadcasting channels. CONSTITUTION: A method for mapping and tuning of digital broadcasting channels includes the steps of mapping a selected imaginary key by a key of a remote controller and storing the key in a channel map(S612). A digital broadcasting channel is changed by the imaginary channel corresponding to a key selected by pressing the remote controller key.
