PURPOSE: A multimedia system having a charging function is provided to charge easily a rechargeable battery of an electronic system such as a cellular phone and a notebook computer without using a charger. CONSTITUTION: A multimedia system having a charging function includes a main body(300), a charging unit(100), and a money insertion unit(110). The main body includes a command input part(400) for receiving an external control command, a driving part(301) for driving a software according to a control command of the command input part, a video output part(310) for outputting a video signal, an audio output part(320) for outputting an audio signal, a charge control part(303) for controlling a charging process of a battery, a money insertion unit controller(302) for storing money, performing an accounting process, and activating the command input part. The charging unit charges the battery according to the control command of the charge control unit. The money insertion unit includes a money insertion hole and a money identification part.
