PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure quick key operation of a remote controller with respect to a control device in a control system comprising the control device which controls target devices to be controlled such as DVHS and HDD via IEEE1394 bus. SOLUTION: The control system acquires from devices to be controlled, which are selected as targets to be controlled, information on function buttons for controlling the target devices as operation information. With reference to the operation information, the function buttons and keys arranged on a remote controller are correlated with each other.
