PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method and an image processor capable of restoring an object to be recognized as an object of suitable size. SOLUTION: The image processing method for restoring an object to be recognized from a stereoscopic image obtained by photographing the object to be recognized by a stereoscopic camera comprises steps (S12, S13) for dividing a shape indicating the object to be recognized into a shape similar to a straight line and a shape similar to a curve on the basis of the stereoscopic image, a step (S15) for generating a plane including the end part of the divided shape similar to the straight line, a step (S16) for generating a curved surface including the curve of the divided shape similar to the curve, and a step (S17) for restoring the object to be recognized by integrating the generated plane and/or curved surface.
