PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a numerical control apparatus suitable to controlling a multiaxis machine tool, for easily creating a command program. SOLUTION: An indirect axis address command "AX[control axis number]=command move amount" capable of instructing to a control axis to be instructed by a control axis number is used. Also, a variable is made to be able to store the control axis number, for example, by "variable #100=AXNUM[axis address]". As a result, by changing an axis address stored in a variable, the same operation can be performed by a different axis with the same program.
