PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording/reproducing device and so forth, which can prevent illegitimate duplication of data.

SOLUTION: A computer 1 transmits a transmission instruction command to a locker server 4 and the recording/reproducing device 2. The recording/reproducing device 2 decodes the transmission instruction command, reads the music data recorded in a program area of a recording/reproducing disk 100, and transmits them to the computer 1. The computer 1 transfers the music data to the locker server 4 via Internet 5. The computer 1 then transmits an erasure instruction command to the recording/reproducing device 2. The recording/reproducing device 2 decodes the command, and erases the music data in the program area that are the same as the music data transmitted to the locker server 4.
