<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil which is excellent in assembling property for a center core. <P>SOLUTION: The ignition coil 1 is equipped with the rod-shaped center core 21 and a secondary cylindrical spool 22 which is arranged outside the center core 21 and provided with an outer surface as a wound area 222 wound with a secondary winding 23, and a contacting area 5 at which the outer surface of the center core 21 bears against the inner surface of the secondary spool 22 is arranged between the outer surface of the center core 21 and the inner surface of the secondary spool 22.
