PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight and inexpensive LT type drum in disc brake by miniaturizing a brake of its drum part. SOLUTION: This LT type drum brake 14 is mounted on a part where a wheel cylinder is mounted in a case when the LT type drum brake 13 is used in a state that a return spring 38 is mounted between upper end parts of a pair of leading shoe 24 and trailing shoe 26, that is, as an ordinary service brake. A size of the brake of the drum brake 14 can be miniaturized and lightened in accordance with the braking force necessary as the parking brake, as it is not assumed to be used as a drum brake for service. One end part of the return spring 38 is hooked on a connection pin 32 for mounting an operating lever 30 on the trailing shoe 26, to be also acted as a stopper of the connection pin 32, whereby the number of components and the assembling man-hour can be reduced, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced in comparison with a case when the stopping is independently achieved by a C-shaped stopper ring and the like.
