PACKING DEVICE HAVING BOX-SHAPED CORRUGATED OUTER BOXES, PLURAL BANDS AND DAMPING MEMBERS

PURPOSE: A packing device is provided to improve the strength of a packing material to thereby prevent damage to a top panel of an outdoor unit. CONSTITUTION: The packing device comprises: box shaped corrugated outer members(5,7) located at the top and bottom sides of an article(3) to be packed; and a plurality of bands. One of the outer members, namely the top side outer member has a corrugated outer box(13) and a pair of damping members(15) disposed inside the outer box. A respective one of the damping members has a bottom portion(15d) which is lowered at the center thereof, corresponding to the top side of the article to be packed, than the outer portion thereof. An approximately U-shaped corrugated plate(17) is disposed over connected regions of the bottom portions of the damping members.
