PURPOSE: A grill chamber of a gas oven is provided to prevent oil in an oil collecting groove from burning by using the clearance between a grill cavity assembly and a drawer body as the insulating layer, and to heat food optimally by preventing loss of heat from a burner with mounting the burner in the lower part of a burner storage part. CONSTITUTION: A grill chamber formed in the lower part of a top burner of a gas oven comprises a grill cavity assembly(30) opened in the front and installed in the gas oven body; a drawer body(40) contained in the grill cavity assembly and composed of a burner storage part(45) protruded upward in the middle of a base(44) with the space for heating food; a sliding support unit supporting the drawer body for drawing the drawer body out of the grill cavity assembly; a tray(20) placed in the drawer body to put food thereon and composed of an oil collecting groove(22) recessed in the outer edge; and a burner(36) installed in the lower part of the burner storage part of the grill cavity. Plural vent holes(32c) are formed in the lower part of the grill cavity assembly to form the insulating layer by air flow.
