PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter press of a simple structure that can be supplied with a heating medium such as warm water even when the number of filter plates increases, and a pressing method for the same. SOLUTION: Heating medium supply holes 25A to 25D and heating medium drain holes 27A to 27D are perforated perpendicularly in lugs 4a and 4b of each filter plate 4, and the filter plates are divided into at least 2 groups, a front stand side and a back stand side, each of which is supplied with the heating medium by the nearest stand side.
