INTERFLUENT NOISE REDUCTION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an up interfluent noise reducing device that is easily introduced and is inexpensive in a bidirectional CATV system complying with a DOCSIS specification that is a standard of measure.

SOLUTION: Down signals are demodulated which are transmitted from a central modem installed in a cable TV station to a cable modem. Information are analyzed which concerns up signals transmitted from the cable modem to the central modem, so that based on the information, the up signals are subjected to a frequency band limiting, thus reducing the interfluent noises.
