<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide article storage facility for storing a container efficiently and returning a container having a raw material to a predetermined position on a shelf again after taking the container out of the shelf. <P>SOLUTION: This article storage facility is provided with the container storage shelf 4 having many storage chambers 3 in which a rotary support base 2 on which a plurality of containers 1 can be loaded is rotatably provided, a position distinguishing label provided on a rotary support base side to specify a space for loading of the container on the rotary support base, and a distinguishing lamp 14 provided in each storage chamber to specify the container on the rotary support base through the position distinguishing label. When taking out the container 1, the container 1 loaded in the space for loading on the rotary support base 2 specified by the position distinguishing label in the storage chamber 3 specified by the distinguishing lamp 14 is taken out.
