PURPOSE: A thickness measurement method of a ladle slag in a ladle furnace and a device thereof are provided to measure the thickness of the slag without sharing additional measurement time. CONSTITUTION: Positive voltage and negative voltage are fed respectively(S320). A molten steel sampler containing two steel cords is fallen to a melting pot of a ladle furnace(S340). The potential difference between two steel cords is detected(S330). Two spots having different potential difference are detected(S360). A thickness of a ladle slag is decided by seizing each point of detected two spots and multiplying the difference of two points and the falling speed of the molten steel sampler. Thereby, the heating efficiency and the purification efficiency of a molten pot are improved.
