PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start radio communication by surely establishing link with a corresponding portable communication terminal and to improve generality. SOLUTION: The POS terminal device detects a change in the luminance of a display screen of a portable telephone capable of changing the luminance of the screen of a display part in accordance with an ID code by a light receiving part 35, binarizes the detected value and transfers the binary signal to a CPU 31. The CPU 31 acquires the ID code from the binarized detection signal and transmits the acquired ID code to a BT transmitting/receiving part 38. The BT transmitting/receiving part 38 is shifted to a link establishment phase established in Bluetooth (R) standard by using the ID code and establishes link with the corresponding portable telephone.
