PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a high-quality image in an electrooptical apparatus by providing an alignment layer etc. with excellent flatness so as to reduce the chance for occurrence of an alignment defect and so on. SOLUTION: The electrooptical apparatus is provided with scanning lines (3a), data lines (6a), TFTs (30) and pixel electrodes (9a) arranged so as to correspond to intersection regions of the lines, and furthermore, is constructed by being provided with an interlayer insulating film (44) formed between the TFTs and the pixel electrodes, contact holes (89) made in the insulating film for electric connection between the TFTs and the pixel electrodes, a conductive adhesive layer (601) formed on the inner surface of each of the contact holes and a conductive layer (501) formed on the adhesive layer so as to fill up the inside of the contact hole. The surface of the interlayer insulating film is flattened including regions where the contact holes, the adhesive layers and the conductive layers are formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
