VEHICULAR MEMBER COMPONENT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular member component capable of sufficiently absorbing collision energy and being inexpensively manufactured, and provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The vehicular member component 1 is made by joining a plurality of metal plates 2 subjected to a bending processing. The vehicular member component 1 comprises a case portion 12 with a generally hexagonal cross-section structured by two outer metal plates 22, and a reinforce portion 13 structured by two inner metal plates 23 arranged inside the case portion 12. A part of the reinforce portion 13 is formed along two diagonal lines passing a center of a generally hexagon of the case portion 12 in cross-section. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
