<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature indicating label which is stuck on a frozen or refrigerated article and whose previously recorded image irreversibly change when the label is exposed to a given temperature above 0°C. <P>SOLUTION: On a base, a heat-sensitive recording layer, a penetration layer consisting principally of a pigment and a binder, a microcapsule containing layer containing a heat-sensitive material of ≥0°C in fusion point, and further a protection layer are laminated in order. Or a temperature indicating label indicating that a microcapsule containing layer, a penetration layer, a heat-sensitive recording layer, and a protection layer are laminated in order on a base is manufactured and automatic recognition information like a bar code is recorded in the heat-sensitive recording layer at room temperature or in a freezer refrigerator. Then microcapsules are pressed and broken right before the label is stuck on an article in the freezer refrigerator, and the label is stuck on an article. When the article is exposed to the given temperature above 0°C, the heat-sensitive material is molten and the previously recorded image irreversibly changes to reveal the temperature history. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
