<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold an article such as a doorplate while making it hard to detach a door scope from the outside of a door. <P>SOLUTION: An article holding member 5 is provided with a plate-like body part 13 provided with a hole 14 allowing insertion of an inner cylinder 3 of the door scope 1 mounted from the outside of the door 2, and a hook part 15 for holding the article. The body part 13 is clamped and held between a flange part 8 formed at the end part of the inner cylinder 3, and the outer surface of the door 2.
