PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amplitude conversion circuit with a small consumption current. SOLUTION: The level shifter 3 is provided with a p-type TFT 11 to make a current with a value corresponding to potential (0 V or 3 V) of an input signal VI corresponding to a state that a control signalψis set to 7.5 V to flow into an output node N13, a p-type TFT 12 to make a current with a value corresponding to reference potential VR(=1.5 V) corresponding to the state that the control signalψis set to 7.5 V to flow into an output node N14, a differential amplification circuit composed of TFTs 13-16 which amplify the potential difference generated between the output nodes N13, N14 to a power supply voltage VCC(=7.5 V), and n-type TFTs 17, 18 to initialize the output nodes N13, N14 to 0 V during the period that the control signal /ψis 7.5 V. A through-current does not flow in the initial state and after the finish of level shift operations. As a result, only a small consumption current is required. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
