PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welt sewing device and a corner knife device capable of shortening the time required to finish forming an incision at the end of a thread seam after finishing sewing, and reducing the number of parts. SOLUTION: The corner knife mechanism 30 of the welt sewing device 1 is equipped with knife mechanisms 33, 34. The knife mechanisms 33, 34 are respectively equipped with a knife 46, a forward/backward moving motor 40 for moving the knife 46 forward and backward, a lift cylinder 42 for lifting the knife 46 up and down, and a reversing motor 50 for reversing the knife 46. The incision is formed at the sewing start end by moving the knife 46 to the lower side of the part where the start sewing end is positioned at the time of finishing sewing by the forward/backward moving motor 40, and lifting the knife 46 by the cylinder 42 after finishing sewing.
