<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direction indicating device which can automatically perform a direction indicating display at a high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: This direction indicating device notifies the outside of the diverting of a vehicle by flickering turning lamps 12L and 12R. The direction indicating device includes a means which detects the approaching of the vehicle to an intersection at which the diverting on a guiding pathway should be performed based on the guiding pathway which is set on a navigation device, a lane information acquiring means which acquires the lane information of a lane on which the vehicle is running, and an estimating means which estimates a probability by which the vehicle runs conforming to the guiding pathway. The direction indicating device also includes an automatic flickering judgement means which judges whether the turning lamps are automatically flickered or not by taking the lane information and the estimated probability under consideration when the approaching of the vehicle to the intersection is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
