PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular member component capable of sufficiently absorbing collision energy and being simply manufactured, and a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: The vehicular member component 1 has a lower member 2 and an upper member 3 joined with each other. The lower member 2 has a lower bottom plate portion 21, a pair of lower side plate portions 22 upwardly rising from both side ends of the lower bottom plate portion 21, and a pair of lower flange portions 33 bending from an upper end of the lower side plate portions 22. The upper member 3 has an upper bottom plate portion 31 of narrower width than the lower bottom plate portion 21, a pair of upper side plates portions 32 upwardly rising from both side ends of the upper bottom plate portion 31, and a pair of upper flange portion 33 bending from upper ends of the upper side plate portions 32. The lower bottom plate portion 21 and the upper bottom plate portion 31, and the lower flange portion 23 and the upper flange portion 33 are joined with each other. Hollow portions 11 are formed between the lower bottom plate portion 21 and the upper bottom plate portion 31, and between the lower flange portion 23 and the upper flange portion 33.
