<p>When overlap print requiring at least two dot forming elements for forming one raster is performed using a print head having a plurality of dot forming elements, a larger memory capacity is required for storing dot data. In the inventive print system, an image processor performs first half image processing and delivers intermediate data to a printer under a state requiring development to a plurality of pixels. The printer develops intermediate data including a remarked pixel for which the presence of dot formation is judged, and then judges for the presence of dot formation of the remarked pixel based on that data. When the intermediate data including a remarked pixel is developed every time when the presence of dot formation is judged for the remarked pixel, a large memory capacity is not required for image processing on the printer side. Consequently, image processing can be born effectively between the image processor and the printer even if a storage capacity is low on the printer side and thereby the processing capacity is low.</p> |
