The deposit notification device (1) is provided by a carrier body (3), of similar size to a check card, which is marked with a number of removable deposit notifications (2), each attached to the carrier body via at least one defined rupture point (5), bridging a stamped-out slit (7) enclosing the deposit notification. The carrier body and the credit notifications provide an advertising surface on at least one side, e.g. the rear side, with their surfaces lying flush with one another. An Independent claim for a method for issuing and collecting returnable containers on which a deposit is paid is also included.
