COMPOSITION OF ACTIVE FRACTION OBTAINED FROM GELIDIUM AMANSII FOR INHIBITING DIFFERENTIATION OF NIH3T3-L1 CELL

PURPOSE: Provided is a composition of an active fraction obtained from Gelidium amansii for inhibiting the differentiation of NIH3T3-L1 cell. It decreases blood glucose level and is thus used for the prevention and treatment of diabetes. The composition is usefully applied to health foods and animal feed stuffs. CONSTITUTION: A composition is characterized by containing an effective amount of an active fraction obtained from Gelidium amansii as a main ingredient. It further contains at least one of pharmaceutically acceptable carriers or diluents. The composition is used for therapeutics for diabetes and animal feed stuffs for improving meat quality.
