<p>A centrifugal blower and an air conditioner, where the blower sucks air from the direction of a rotating shaft and blows it in the direction intersecting the rotating shaft. Desired cooling effect for a fan motor is achieved and the increase in noise is suppressed. A centrifugal blower (4) of an air conditioner (1) has a fan motor (41), a hub (43), blades (44), and an air-guiding portion (52). The hub (43) has a cooling air-hole (43a) and connected for rotation to a shaft (41a) of the fan motor (41). Part of the blown air is guided to the vicinity of the fan motor (41) and cools it. After that, when the part of blown air is blown from the cooling air-hole (43a) to the side of the hub (43) opposite the fan motor, the air-guiding portion (52) guides airflow so that the speed of the airflow in the swirl direction is reduced.</p> |
