The method of fabrication includes an assembly phase (1,2) including the placing of a data support (P1), a personalization phase (3,4) consisting of writing of personalized digital data D1 on this data support, these data being meant for the operator OP1 to whom the card is destined. During the assembly phase (1), the next step includes detecting with electronic units, the type and the nature of the data support, visually identifying the card and comparing with the data meant for the operator, verifying the result of the electronic detection of the data support with the data associated with the operator. The next step includes applying a recognizable mark MA representing an indentifier of the operator. During the personalization phase, the steps include reading the preceding mark applied and determining the operator by the bias of a database BD, and comparing the data with the personalized digital data D1 destined to be written on the data support of the card, and finally recording the personalized data in the data support.
