COOLING POWER IMPROVED COOLING APPARATUS OF HOT DIPPED GALVANIZED IRON

PURPOSE: A cooling power improved cooling apparatus of hot dipped galvanized iron is provided to accomplish target cooling amount of galvanized strip and solve vibration problem by using injection gas of low temperature as a cooling medium using compressor and expander instead of injection gas of ordinary temperature. CONSTITUTION: In a cooling apparatus installed at a cooling section(11) upper and lower surfaces of which are opened so that the strip threads the cooling section to cool a galvanized strip(7) of continuous galvanizing line, the cooling power improved cooling apparatus of hot dipped galvanized iron comprises a gas compressor(41) connected to a suction pipe(9a) for sucking an already used cooling gas from both sides or one side of the cooling section to compress the sucked gas to a specific pressure; a heat exchanger(21) for cooling gas compressed by the gas compressor to a specific temperature; and a gas expander(51) for supplying the low temperature gas to the cooling section by expanding cooled compressed gas from the heat exchanger, thereby generating low temperature gas, wherein the gas compressor compresses the sucked gas to the pressure range of 5 to 10 bars.
