PURPOSE: A heat treating method for improving high temperature properties of stainless steel by controlling annealing temperature and time and tensile stress, thereby minimizing residual content of delta ferrite when performing continuous annealing heat treatment after hot rolling high alloy Cr-Ni based stainless steel 310. CONSTITUTION: In a heat treatment method comprising the steps of continuously annealing the hot rolled steel sheet after hot rolling high alloy Cr-Ni based stainless steel 310 comprising 24 to 26 wt.% of chromium (Cr), 19 to 22 wt.% of nickel (Ni), 0.08 wt.% or less of carbon (C), 1.5 wt.% or less of silicon (Si), 2.0 wt.% or less of manganese (Mn), 0.045 wt.% or less of phosphorus (P), 0.03 wt.% or less of sulfur (S) and a balance of iron (Fe) and other inevitable impurities, the heat treating method is characterized in that the continuous annealing process is performed by setting an annealing temperature for the hot rolled steel sheet to 1,120 to 1,150 deg.C, controlling tensile stress to 1.5 to 3.0 kgf/mm¬2 and setting annealing time to 30 to 60 seconds.
