The device has at least one ink chamber in which at least one ink reservoir is inserted that is made of a thermoplastic fiber material and has a mean density of about 0.155 to 0,300 g/cm3. The ink reservoir is processed by removing original external surface material so that the processed part of the surface has outwardly directed fiber ends. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a method of manufacturing an inventive ink container.
