The heddle (3) for a loom (M) having at least one heddle frame (2) with two cross-members (22, 22') for attaching the heddle to has a coupling on each end with at least two thrust sections (33g, 33j) that engage simultaneously with corresponding surfaces (23g, 23j) on a traction bar (23) attached to one of the cross-members. The thrust sections are offset relative to one another on a line parallel to the heddle's lengthwise axis. The heddle coupling with the thrust surfaces has two branches (331, 332) enclosing a space (V33) to receive the traction bar, each of the branches having at least one tooth (33a, 33b, 33c, 33d) equipped with the thrust sections. Depending on the number of teeth, they can either face one another or be staggered, and in variants of the design the couplings can have different shapes, e.g. U-shaped, C-shaped or in a closed loop.
