FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves making a 1 cm deep pierce with injection needle under zygomatic arch at the position located medial with respect to chewing muscle. The needle is moved in superointerior direction taking the boundary between the middle and exterior orbit one-third as reference object. Emoxipin is introduced into a zone connecting pterygopalatine and subtemporal fossa in the amount of 4-6 ml every other day with total number of injections being equal to 5-8. ^ EFFECT: continuous medical treatment allover the whole length of the inferior orbital fissure; reduced risk of post-treatment complications. |
