FIELD: toxicology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rendering harmless toxic substances representing a mixture of polychlorobenzenes and polychlorobiphenyls named as sovtol. Method is carried out by sequential treatment of the parent mixture with sulfurizing reagent-oleum at temperature 105-125 C and salt-forming reagent triethanolamine. Treatment with a sulfurizing agent is carried out in the presence of catalyst and in the optimal ratio sovtol : sulfurizing agent : catalyst : salt-forming reagent = 1:2:0.01:4 mass. p. p., respectively. Water glass is used as a catalyst. Method provides the wasteless technology in complete rendering harmless of sovtol. ^ EFFECT: improved rendering harmless. ^ 1 tbl, 17 ex |
