PURPOSE: A static balance unit of a rotor of a squirrel-cage induction motor is provided to correct the static unbalance by detecting a static unbalance position and inserting a balance pin into the static unbalance position. CONSTITUTION: A static balance unit of a rotor of a squirrel-cage induction motor includes a motor housing(1), a rotary shaft(3), a rotor(5), and a stator(7). The rotor includes a steel core(9) having a plurality of slots(9a), an aluminum conductor(10) arranged at the slots, and a couple of short circuit rings(12) for supporting both ends of the aluminum conductor. A plurality of ring-shaped correction grooves(12a) are formed at partial sides of the short circuit rings. A plurality of balance pins(30) are inserted into the ring-shaped correction grooves in order to correct the static unbalance of the rotor.
