A method/system for distribution of fluidisable materials comprising a reservoir (1) for the material (2) to be distributed, fluidisable conveying means (9, 26, 27) distributing the material (2) to one or more material receiving units (23, 34, 35) characterized in that the material (2) is distributed from the reservoir (1) to the material receiving units (23, 34, 35) through at least two hydraulic levels defined by one or more inlet boxes (4, 41, 42). The system may preferably be used for distribution of alumina and/or fluoride to feeding equipment in electrolysis cells with a reduced consume of fluidizing gas.
