PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plating holder which imposes tension as uniformly as possible on a flexible plate to be plated, secures good conduction of a plating electric current, and performs good positioning of the plate to be plated. SOLUTION: The plating holder comprises a supporting frame composed of horizontal members 2, 6 arranged up and down and vertical members 4 arranged at the right and left sides. The supporting frame holds the upper and lower edges of a flexible plate 7 to be plated. A movable holding part 5 for holding the upper edge of the plate 7 and for applying tractive force to the plate 7 is placed so as to bridge the space between the vertical members 4 and constructed so that energizing force in the direction of tensioning the plate 7 acts on both ends of the movable holding part 5. Thus, wavy deformation, deflection deformation, etc., of the plate 7 are corrected by a proper tension, providing a high plating quality. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
